So, this afternoon, having nothing to do prior to a dinner with a friend in Mongkok area, I had my MP3 player switched on, wandered around and wasn’t quite aware where I was heading until I found things became so familiar.
In this part of Homantin where pet shops and bars now occupy every corner of the street, there are still things here and there which remains unchanged. Looking up from the back alley, the small 6-storey building looks small but rigid as if it’s prepared to stand there for another 50 years. This is the place where I lived in since I was born and also the place my grandmother spent the very last days of her life.
Walked pass the alley my grandmother take as a shortcut to the market, and the supermarket where she brought us soft-drinks, I reached another street where she used to rest and to walk around during a sunny day.
Rarely in the city of Kowloon you can find such nice area with trees being grown on one side of the road.
